The Teknion Showroom is a conceptual showroom space within the Chicago Merchandise Mart. Through a case study of Teknion, I determined that this young and innovative furniture company's value proposition lies in the idea of "and"; their flexibility and willingness to work on multiple levels drives their success. Teknion has the capacity to create custom solutions for the largest customers and still caters to the needs of smaller customers with lower budgets. They have a dedication to solid functionality and simultaneously experiment with more whimsical techniques. These dichotomies inspired my design, resulting in a scale model of a showroom that metaphorically demonstrates Teknion's ability to offer skills not often found together.
