Wicomico Chair
I designed and built the Wicomico Chair for the Chair Affair, a designer charity event in Philadelphia. The Chair Affair recruits designers to create bespoke pieces of furniture that will then be auctioned off to benefit the homeless. My concept used a life preserver from a historical ship, the Wicomico, that hailed from Philadelphia. The chair has a frame made from old-growth ash, and is surprisingly ergonomic due to the dense foam of the life preserver.
