Night Vision Goggles
The night vision device shown here was inspired by the fact that there are no night vision goggles commercially available for less than several hundred dollars. I designed and built it using off-the-shelf components, including a screen from a car rear-view camera, an infrared spotlight from a home security system, and a battery intended for use in an industrial fire alarm. The device allows the user to see clearly in dim environments without emitting visible light, and has a range of nearly 100 feet in pitch darkness.
